Two survivors of the Charge of the Light Brigade ended up at the West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum (Stanley Royd Hospital) in Wakefield:

John Moore was admitted in January 1886 and died at the asylum on 14 April 1887. Records of his admission can be found in C85/608 patient no.9734 and C85/983 p.389. His death is recorded at C85/699 and in the burial register for Stanley church WDP191/1/18.

Ebenezer Brown was an attendant at the hospital for around 15 years - see C85/182 for the register of staff.
